Sauna Timo provides one generous outdoor sauna room in a rectangular log cabin with a clean flat roofline and sheltered entrance overhang. External footprint 320x202cm (6.5m²) with 50/70mm walls and an overall height of 253cm. Outside door 80x201cm, an internal bronze glass sauna door at 70x190cm, and double glazed windows at 120x91cm and 100x60cm. Sauna benches and an insulated roof element over the sauna room (12mm boards, 50mm ISOVER insulation, 12mm boards) are included. 26mm floor boards and 19mm roof boards; roof covering not included.

Timo's two-space layout gives the heat room a calm, dedicated purpose while the separate changing and entrance area handles robes, towels and movement. That buffer also means the outer door does not open directly onto the benches, helping the sauna room retain heat during busy group sessions.

Regular sauna bathing raises heart rate and increases blood flow in a way that resembles light cardiovascular exercise, while heat can help muscles relax after activity. A practical changing space makes the routine easier to repeat because there is somewhere sheltered to prepare, cool briefly and organise belongings.

The low roofline helps this model fit gardens where a taller cabin would feel exposed or intrusive. Combined with generous glazing facing into the garden, it creates a private, usable setting for groups of four or five and supports the regular use that matters more than any single session.

The final electrical connection should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with the heater manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations. This is important for both safety and reliable operation of the heater.

The stove must be positioned according to the manufacturer's required safety distances from timber walls, benches and other combustible materials. Depending on the stove and sauna design, suitable heat shields or other non-combustible protection may also be required.

The floor beneath and immediately around the stove may also require suitable non-combustible protection, particularly where there is a risk of embers or hot material falling from the stove.

A suitable chimney and flue system must be installed to safely carry smoke and combustion gases outside the sauna. Where the flue passes through the roof, the correct insulated chimney components, roof flashing and heat-resistant protection should be used.

Correct ventilation is also important. A wood-fired stove requires an adequate supply of combustion air, while the sauna itself needs sufficient airflow to provide fresh air, circulate heat and allow moisture to escape.

When choosing the position of an outdoor wood-fired sauna, you should also consider where the chimney will discharge in relation to your house, neighbouring properties, windows, boundaries and outdoor seating areas.

Any applicable local requirements should be checked before installation, particularly where chimney positioning, smoke control or other restrictions may apply.

Timo's two-space layout separates the sauna room from the changing and entrance area. After each session, prop the bronze glass door and outer door open for twenty to thirty minutes so moisture can leave both spaces, wipe the benches once cooled, and give the interior a light sand once or twice a year wherever contact is heaviest.

The shallow roof needs more attention than a pitched one. A 3 degree fall drains, but slowly, so leaves, moss and blown debris can accumulate and hold water. Clear it twice a year and after autumn, particularly if the sauna is positioned under or near trees.

Both windows need only a standard glass cleaner and soft cloth, with condensation on the inside face wiped after sessions rather than left to run onto the sill. Externally, treat the spruce every two to three years, sooner on exposed elevations, and keep the base of the walls clear of leaves and standing water. If the cabin sits tight against a fence, check the gap behind it occasionally because it will dry most slowly.
This sauna comes with a 5 year warranty for residential use and 2 years for commercial use, covering structural timber, glazing, and hardware. Valid claims are assessed case by case, and we'll supply replacement parts wherever possible rather than the whole sauna.

Two practical spaces under a low roofline

The flat roofed Timo takes the same wide, shallow two-space plan as its pitched sibling: 320 by 202 centimetres and 6.5 square metres, divided into a dedicated sauna room and a separate changing and entrance room. Solid spruce walls are 50 and 70 millimetres depending on the elevation. The roof falls at 3 degrees across 10.5 square metres and brings overall height to 253 centimetres, twenty seven centimetres below the pitched version, which is the point of this variant for gardens where total height matters.

Nothing is given up inside to achieve the lower roofline. Footprint and layout are identical to the pitched Timo, as is the glazing: a 120 by 91 centimetre double glazed window with a second at 100 by 60. The entrance sits under a roof overhang with an 80 by 201 centimetre outer door, while a bronze glass door at 70 by 190 centimetres separates the changing space from the sauna room. Sauna benches, 26 millimetre floor boards and an insulated roof element over the sauna room are included as standard. The 19 millimetre roof boards are supplied and the weatherproof covering is chosen separately.

This is the version for a courtyard, small urban garden, overlooked plot or anywhere the roofline needs to stay quiet. The low horizontal profile sits comfortably against a fence line, while the wide frontage lets the windows face back into the garden. The separate entrance and changing room keeps robes, towels and cool air away from the benches. Self assembly follows the same numbered panel system as the rest of the range, and the shallow roof makes this the most approachable build of the four Eero and Timo variants.
