About

Heat with nothing lost along the way. Deluxe Tub Internal places the wood burner inside the tub itself, heating water directly without any pipework losses between a separate firebox and the bath. 180cm of Thermowood holds two to three bathers comfortably, with a small partition keeping everyone safely clear of the firebox. A self contained, efficient setup for anyone who values directness over maximum internal space.

An internal burner design brings the heat source directly into the water itself, which many users find results in noticeably efficient warming compared with transferring heat from an external unit. The core wellbeing benefits of wood fired hot tub bathing remain the same regardless of burner position: warm water immersion improves circulation, eases muscle tension, and the ritual of tending a fire to heat your own bathing water adds a deliberate, calming process that an instant electric spa simply can't replicate.

For households who value simplicity in their setup, an internal burner removes the need to position, plumb, and maintain a separate external heating unit, streamlining the whole installation to a single self-contained structure. This can make the wood fired bathing ritual feel more accessible for anyone slightly daunted by a multi-component external system, while still delivering the same authentic experience.

The efficiency of direct internal heating also means less waiting and less firewood typically needed to reach a comfortable soaking temperature compared with some external configurations, which supports more frequent, spontaneous use rather than reserving the tub for occasions where a longer heating commitment feels worthwhile. For couples or small households building wood fired bathing into a regular routine, that efficiency genuinely matters over the course of a season.
Delivered flat-packed for self-assembly, with free UK mainland delivery on qualifying orders. The larger Cube format requires a little more assembly time than the smaller Icon models, so we recommend allowing a weekend and having a second person to help. A solid, level base and suitable delivery access are required.

For a complete setup, select Professional Installation and choose your preferred date, allowing for the stated production lead time. We’ll then arrange the installation around your requirements, including any additional preparation or works needed to accommodate your sauna where possible.

Electric sauna heaters require a suitable dedicated electrical supply and are not simply plug-and-play. The power requirements depend on the heater's output and the electrical supply available at the property.

Smaller heaters may be suitable for a 230V single-phase supply, while larger or more powerful heaters can require a 400V three-phase supply. Single-phase power uses one electrical phase, whereas three-phase power distributes the load across three phases and is better suited to higher-powered equipment.

The correct supply will depend on the specific heater you choose, so the heater's electrical requirements should always be checked before installation.

Sauna heaters will normally need to be hard-wired into a correctly rated dedicated circuit with the appropriate cable, isolation and electrical protection. They should not be connected using a standard household plug or extension lead.

The final electrical connection should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with the heater manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations. This is important for both safety and reliable operation of the heater.

If you're based in the Leicestershire area, we can arrange the electrical installation of your sauna heater for an additional fee. Please speak to our team if you'd like this included with your sauna.

Wood-fired sauna heaters do not require an electrical supply for heating, but they do require the correct installation of the stove, chimney, flue and surrounding heat protection.

The stove must be positioned according to the manufacturer's required safety distances from timber walls, benches and other combustible materials. Depending on the stove and sauna design, suitable heat shields or other non-combustible protection may also be required.

The floor beneath and immediately around the stove may also require suitable non-combustible protection, particularly where there is a risk of embers or hot material falling from the stove.

A suitable chimney and flue system must be installed to safely carry smoke and combustion gases outside the sauna. Where the flue passes through the roof, the correct insulated chimney components, roof flashing and heat-resistant protection should be used.

Correct ventilation is also important. A wood-fired stove requires an adequate supply of combustion air, while the sauna itself needs sufficient airflow to provide fresh air, circulate heat and allow moisture to escape.

When choosing the position of an outdoor wood-fired sauna, you should also consider where the chimney will discharge in relation to your house, neighbouring properties, windows, boundaries and outdoor seating areas.

Any applicable local requirements should be checked before installation, particularly where chimney positioning, smoke control or other restrictions may apply.

Caring for an internal burner wood fired hot tub follows similar principles to external designs, with some specific attention to the integrated heater. After each session, let the firebox cool fully before clearing ash, taking care given its position within the tub structure itself, and check for good airflow before lighting again.

Drain and refresh the bathing water regularly depending on usage, and wipe down the interior periodically, checking around the internal burner housing for any signs of wear or leaking where it meets the main tub structure. This junction is worth checking slightly more carefully than the joints on an external burner model, simply because of its position within the bathing volume.

Thermowood's natural weather resistance keeps general exterior maintenance minimal. A light oil treatment every couple of years maintains the original colour if preferred, otherwise letting the timber weather naturally to a silvery grey requires no upkeep at all. Check the internal burner's components for soot build-up periodically, since this affects heating efficiency over time regardless of burner position.
This tub comes with a 5 year warranty for residential use and 2 years for commercial use, covering structural timber and hardware. Valid claims are assessed case by case, and we'll supply replacement parts wherever possible rather than the whole tub.
Production takes 2-4 weeks, plus 1-2 weeks dispatch time for pallet haulage. This tub is delivered flat packed unless otherwise stated. Free UK mainland shipping applies to orders over £500 covering up to one double pallet (2.4m x 1.2m x 2.2m) or two single pallets (1.2m x 1.2m x 2.2m). If your order exceeds this due to length, weight, or quantity, additional pallet charges may apply and are quoted separately based on postcode. Please have a solid base, clear access, and suitable unloading space ready before delivery. Pallet deliveries are kerbside only, and you're responsible for moving goods onto your property.

Direct, efficient internal wood heating

The Deluxe Tub Internal is built with its wood burner positioned inside the tub itself, a traditional configuration that keeps the heat source within the water rather than mounted externally. At 180 centimetres in diameter and 93 centimetres deep, it is sized for relaxed use by two or three people, with Thermowood construction handling the moisture resistance needed for a tub that spends its life outdoors full of heated water across every season.

An internal burner heats the water more directly than an external stove, since there is no heat loss through connecting pipework between a separate firebox and the tub itself, though it does mean the burner occupies some of the internal space and needs a small partition to keep bathers safely away from the firebox while it is in use. This configuration tends to suit anyone who values heating efficiency and a more traditional wood fired tub experience over maximising every last inch of internal space for bathers.

Deluxe Tub Internal is a solid choice for anyone wanting a straightforward, efficient wood fired hot tub without the added complexity of a separate external heating system to install and connect, keeping the whole setup as one self contained unit that arrives, sits in the garden, and gets used without any further plumbing or installation considerations beyond a level, stable base.
