Barrel and ergo cabins take the least ground and heat quickest. Cube and oval give standing headroom and a modern silhouette. Log and multi-room cabins add changing space, modular suits tight access, and indoor cabins need no garden at all.

Barrels use a curved roof to push heat back down over the benches, so they reach temperature quickly. Cubes have upright walls, a flat roofline and full standing headroom. Ovals sit between the two, with a wider flat base and generous height.

Compact barrel and ergo cabins seat two or three on the smallest footprint we offer. Patio saunas are sized for terraces and courtyards. Indoor cabins avoid the question entirely by going into a spare room, garage or home gym.

Count who will realistically bathe together, then add one. Couples are well served by a two to three person cabin, families usually want four to six, and regular entertaining points to a multi-room or XL model with a changing area.

Size it to cabin volume, roughly 1kW per cubic metre, so a compact two-person sauna needs around 6kW and a family cabin 8–9kW. Electric suits timed weeknight use, while wood-fired needs no supply and gives a softer löyly.
