Inside, this sauna holds about 6.1 m³ of air, about the size of a small box room. To get that properly hot you want roughly 6kW of heat, and the HUUM DROP 6kW with Wi-Fi is the one we'd point you at. Anything between 6kW and 9kW will do the job, so it comes down to how it looks, how you control it and what you want to spend. A heater this size runs off a normal household supply, but it can't go in a plug socket. It needs its own dedicated circuit, much like an electric shower or oven. Whichever heater you pick, check what it needs before you buy.

A wood stove needs no electrics at all, but it does get extremely hot. It has to sit a set distance from the timber walls and benches, usually with a heat shield behind it, and something fireproof underneath in case an ember drops out. The stove instructions give you the exact distances. The walls are solid timber with no insulation layer, so it takes a bit longer to warm up.

The chimney runs up and out through the roof. This one has a curved roof, so you need a collar shaped to match the curve, otherwise rain finds its way in. The fire also needs air to burn, and the room needs a vent low down and another high up so fresh air comes in and damp gets out. Have a think about where the smoke will blow, in relation to your house, your neighbours and where you sit outside.

The Pool Sauna needs standard barrel sauna care for its timber structure, with extra attention to the full glazed front given its larger glass area and poolside positioning. After every session, leave the door open for twenty to thirty minutes to let the heat room dry out fully, preventing mould and staining on interior timber surfaces. Wipe benches down once cooled, and sand the interior lightly once or twice a year wherever contact is heaviest.

The glazed front needs regular cleaning with a standard glass cleaner and soft cloth, likely more frequently than a standard window given poolside splash and chlorine exposure if used near a treated pool; rinse off any chlorine residue promptly to avoid it affecting the glass or surrounding timber over time.

Externally, treat the curved Spruce exterior with a wood treatment every two to three years, checking more frequently given the additional moisture exposure from poolside use and splash. Keep the base area clear of debris and standing water, paying particular attention to drainage given the proximity to a pool deck or surround, which can sometimes affect how water moves around the sauna's foundation.

Production takes 10-12 weeks, plus 1-2 weeks dispatch time for pallet haulage. This sauna is delivered flat packed unless otherwise stated. Free UK mainland shipping applies. Deliveries are kerbside and unloaded using the vehicle's tail lift, so no machinery or extra help is needed on your side. For properties with tight or restricted access, we can arrange delivery on a smaller vehicle with the goods handballed off instead — just let us know your access situation before ordering.

Please have a solid, level base and clear access ready before delivery. Pallet deliveries are kerbside only, and once unloaded you're responsible for moving the goods onto your property. Final positioning is not included unless you use our installation team. A comprehensive assembly manual is included, and self-assembly is straightforward with basic DIY skills.
