About

Proper depth, compact footprint. Hot Tub Icon brings wood fired heating to a square 91cm Thermowood tub, fitting corners and tighter gardens better than a round equivalent. Smaller water volume means a quicker route from lighting the fire to soaking. The ritual of tending the fire stays part of the experience rather than hidden behind a control panel. Built for smaller gardens that still want the real thing.

A compact hot tub that genuinely fits smaller gardens removes a real barrier to wood fired bathing for households who'd otherwise assume they don't have the space. The physiological benefits of warm water immersion, improved circulation and eased muscle tension, remain consistent regardless of tub size, so a more space-efficient model delivers the same core relaxation benefits as a larger installation.

For individuals or couples specifically, a hot tub sized realistically for one or two users rather than built to accommodate group sizes that rarely materialise tends to get used more consistently. The faster heating time that comes with a smaller water volume also supports more spontaneous use, useful for an evening when a full multi-hour heating commitment for a larger tub might otherwise be impractical.

The wood fired ritual itself, tending the fire, watching the water warm, remains intact at this scale, giving the same deliberate, calming process that distinguishes wood fired bathing from an instant electric alternative. For households in smaller gardens specifically wanting that authentic experience without compromising on available outdoor space, a compact model like this one makes the wood fired bathing tradition genuinely accessible rather than reserved for properties with room for a larger tub.
Delivered flat-packed for self-assembly, with free UK mainland delivery on qualifying orders. The larger Cube format requires a little more assembly time than the smaller Icon models, so we recommend allowing a weekend and having a second person to help. A solid, level base and suitable delivery access are required.

For a complete setup, select Professional Installation and choose your preferred date, allowing for the stated production lead time. We’ll then arrange the installation around your requirements, including any additional preparation or works needed to accommodate your sauna where possible.

Electric sauna heaters require a suitable dedicated electrical supply and are not simply plug-and-play. The power requirements depend on the heater's output and the electrical supply available at the property.

Smaller heaters may be suitable for a 230V single-phase supply, while larger or more powerful heaters can require a 400V three-phase supply. Single-phase power uses one electrical phase, whereas three-phase power distributes the load across three phases and is better suited to higher-powered equipment.

The correct supply will depend on the specific heater you choose, so the heater's electrical requirements should always be checked before installation.

Sauna heaters will normally need to be hard-wired into a correctly rated dedicated circuit with the appropriate cable, isolation and electrical protection. They should not be connected using a standard household plug or extension lead.

The final electrical connection should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with the heater manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations. This is important for both safety and reliable operation of the heater.

If you're based in the Leicestershire area, we can arrange the electrical installation of your sauna heater for an additional fee. Please speak to our team if you'd like this included with your sauna.

Wood-fired sauna heaters do not require an electrical supply for heating, but they do require the correct installation of the stove, chimney, flue and surrounding heat protection.

The stove must be positioned according to the manufacturer's required safety distances from timber walls, benches and other combustible materials. Depending on the stove and sauna design, suitable heat shields or other non-combustible protection may also be required.

The floor beneath and immediately around the stove may also require suitable non-combustible protection, particularly where there is a risk of embers or hot material falling from the stove.

A suitable chimney and flue system must be installed to safely carry smoke and combustion gases outside the sauna. Where the flue passes through the roof, the correct insulated chimney components, roof flashing and heat-resistant protection should be used.

Correct ventilation is also important. A wood-fired stove requires an adequate supply of combustion air, while the sauna itself needs sufficient airflow to provide fresh air, circulate heat and allow moisture to escape.

When choosing the position of an outdoor wood-fired sauna, you should also consider where the chimney will discharge in relation to your house, neighbouring properties, windows, boundaries and outdoor seating areas.

Any applicable local requirements should be checked before installation, particularly where chimney positioning, smoke control or other restrictions may apply.

This compact wood fired hot tub follows the same care principles as larger models, scaled to its smaller size. After each session, let the firebox cool fully before clearing ash, checking for good airflow before lighting again. Periodically inspect the external heater for soot build-up affecting heating efficiency.

Drain and refresh the water regularly depending on usage frequency; the smaller volume means this is a quicker task than with a larger tub, but stagnant water will still develop issues if left too long, particularly in warm weather. Wipe down the interior periodically and check joints for leaks, especially after periods when the tub has sat empty.

Thermowood's natural weather resistance keeps exterior maintenance minimal, needing little beyond occasional checks for surface wear. A light oil treatment every couple of years maintains the original colour, or let it weather naturally to a silvery grey patina if preferred, which requires no maintenance at all.
This tub comes with a 5 year warranty for residential use and 2 years for commercial use, covering structural timber and hardware. Valid claims are assessed case by case, and we'll supply replacement parts wherever possible rather than the whole tub.
Production takes 2-4 weeks, plus 1-2 weeks dispatch time for pallet haulage. This tub is delivered flat packed unless otherwise stated. Free UK mainland shipping applies to orders over £500 covering up to one double pallet (2.4m x 1.2m x 2.2m) or two single pallets (1.2m x 1.2m x 2.2m). If your order exceeds this due to length, weight, or quantity, additional pallet charges may apply and are quoted separately based on postcode. Please have a solid base, clear access, and suitable unloading space ready before delivery. Pallet deliveries are kerbside only, and you're responsible for moving goods onto your property.

Authentic wood fired bathing, compact scale

The Hot Tub "Icon" takes the square format used elsewhere in the Icon range and applies it to wood fired heating, with a 91 centimetre footprint and 105 centimetre depth that keeps the overall size manageable while still giving proper depth for a full soak rather than a shallow sit. Thermowood construction provides the moisture resistance needed for a tub that will be outdoors and full of heated water through every season, including the cold, wet months when a hot tub arguably earns its keep the most.

The square shape can be easier to position in a garden than a round equivalent, fitting against a wall or into a corner more naturally without wasting the curved edges that a round tub leaves unused. The compact footprint keeps both the water volume and the heating time more manageable than a larger tub, useful for anyone who wants a quick route from lighting the fire to soaking rather than a lengthy wait. Wood firing gives a genuinely different experience to an electric hot tub, with the process of lighting and tending the fire becoming part of the overall ritual rather than something hidden away behind a control panel.

Icon suits smaller gardens or anyone wanting a more compact wood fired hot tub without the bulk of a larger family sized model that demands considerably more space and a longer heating commitment each time it gets used.
