A sauna's distinctive shape has no bearing on the physiological benefits it delivers, but it can genuinely affect how often it gets used, since a sauna that looks good and feels like a deliberate, considered garden feature tends to get prioritised and shown off rather than treated as a purely functional box tucked out of sight. Heat exposure itself raises heart rate and improves circulation in a way comparable to light cardiovascular exercise, and these benefits accumulate with regular, consistent use regardless of the cabin's exterior design.

The built-in changing area adds genuine practical value alongside the visual appeal, giving somewhere to manage towels and robes separately from the heat room itself, which supports a more considered, unhurried sauna ritual rather than rushing the whole process in one cramped space. This kind of practical comfort tends to matter more than people initially expect when it comes to actually maintaining a regular sauna habit over months and years.

For households who specifically value their garden sauna as both a wellness investment and a genuine design feature, a distinctive arched silhouette paired with proper changing space removes the common trade-off between aesthetics and practicality. Getting both right tends to support more consistent long-term use, since a sauna that's genuinely pleasant to look at and to use properly is one that's far more likely to become a lasting habit rather than an occasional novelty.
Delivered flat-packed for self-assembly, with free UK mainland delivery on qualifying orders. The larger Cube format requires a little more assembly time than the smaller Icon models, so we recommend allowing a weekend and having a second person to help. A solid, level base and suitable delivery access are required.

For a complete setup, select Professional Installation and choose your preferred date, allowing for the stated production lead time. We’ll then arrange the installation around your requirements, including any additional preparation or works needed to accommodate your sauna where possible.

Electric sauna heaters require a suitable dedicated electrical supply and are not simply plug-and-play. The power requirements depend on the heater's output and the electrical supply available at the property.

Smaller heaters may be suitable for a 230V single-phase supply, while larger or more powerful heaters can require a 400V three-phase supply. Single-phase power uses one electrical phase, whereas three-phase power distributes the load across three phases and is better suited to higher-powered equipment.

The correct supply will depend on the specific heater you choose, so the heater's electrical requirements should always be checked before installation.

Sauna heaters will normally need to be hard-wired into a correctly rated dedicated circuit with the appropriate cable, isolation and electrical protection. They should not be connected using a standard household plug or extension lead.

The final electrical connection should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with the heater manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations. This is important for both safety and reliable operation of the heater.

If you're based in the Leicestershire area, we can arrange the electrical installation of your sauna heater for an additional fee. Please speak to our team if you'd like this included with your sauna.

Wood-fired sauna heaters do not require an electrical supply for heating, but they do require the correct installation of the stove, chimney, flue and surrounding heat protection.

The stove must be positioned according to the manufacturer's required safety distances from timber walls, benches and other combustible materials. Depending on the stove and sauna design, suitable heat shields or other non-combustible protection may also be required.

The floor beneath and immediately around the stove may also require suitable non-combustible protection, particularly where there is a risk of embers or hot material falling from the stove.

A suitable chimney and flue system must be installed to safely carry smoke and combustion gases outside the sauna. Where the flue passes through the roof, the correct insulated chimney components, roof flashing and heat-resistant protection should be used.

Correct ventilation is also important. A wood-fired stove requires an adequate supply of combustion air, while the sauna itself needs sufficient airflow to provide fresh air, circulate heat and allow moisture to escape.

When choosing the position of an outdoor wood-fired sauna, you should also consider where the chimney will discharge in relation to your house, neighbouring properties, windows, boundaries and outdoor seating areas.

Any applicable local requirements should be checked before installation, particularly where chimney positioning, smoke control or other restrictions may apply.

The arched Sauna Pod needs the same fundamental care as any solid Spruce sauna, with its distinctive shape having no bearing on the maintenance routine itself. After every session, leave the door open for twenty to thirty minutes to let the heat room dry out fully, the most effective habit for preventing mould and dark staining on timber surfaces. Wipe benches down once cooled, and give the interior a light sand once or twice a year wherever hands and bare skin make the most contact.

The tempered glass door needs only a standard glass cleaner and soft cloth. The built-in changing area, being unheated, should be checked periodically for general dampness, ensuring it's drying out properly between uses alongside the main heat room.

Externally, treat the spruce exterior with a wood treatment every two to three years depending on weather exposure; the arched roofline means water sheds slightly differently than a flat-roofed cabin, so check that drainage around the curve is working properly and not pooling anywhere along the base. Keep the area around the structure clear of debris and standing water, the same principle that applies to any outdoor timber building regardless of its silhouette.
This sauna comes with a 5 year warranty for residential use and 2 years for commercial use, covering structural timber, glazing, and hardware. Valid claims are assessed case by case, and we'll supply replacement parts wherever possible rather than the whole sauna.
Production takes 10-12 weeks, plus 1-2 weeks dispatch time for pallet haulage. This sauna is delivered flat packed unless otherwise stated. Free UK mainland shipping applies to orders over £500 covering up to one double pallet (2.4m x 1.2m x 2.2m) or two single pallets (1.2m x 1.2m x 2.2m). If your order exceeds this due to length, weight, or quantity, additional pallet charges may apply and are quoted separately based on postcode. Please have a solid base, clear access, and suitable unloading space ready before delivery, with help on site if needed. Pallet deliveries are kerbside only, and you're responsible for moving goods onto your property.

Outdoor Sauna Pod 220 — Arched Spruce Garden Sauna, Glass Door 2.2m — spruce — front view 1

A distinctive shape with genuine heat

Sauna Pod 220 brings the arched pod silhouette to outdoor sauna use, with a 220 by 240 centimetre footprint and a tempered glass door that brings natural light into the structure without compromising on the heat retention that solid spruce construction provides throughout the rest of the build. The arched profile is one of the most recognisable shapes in outdoor sauna design, distinct from both the traditional log cabin format and the rounder barrel style used elsewhere in the range.

The tempered glass door is heat treated during manufacture, giving it the strength to handle repeated exposure to the temperature extremes a sauna entrance faces, heated air escaping each time the door opens against cold air rushing in from outside. This practical detail matters more than it might seem, since a standard glass door would be at genuine risk of failure under the same conditions over years of regular use.

Sauna Pod 220 suits anyone drawn to the arched pod aesthetic who wants a properly built sauna rather than a purely decorative garden feature, delivering genuine thermal performance behind a distinctive silhouette that stands out from the more conventional cabin and barrel shapes found across the wider sauna range. It is the kind of structure that draws comment from neighbours and guests before anyone has even felt the heat inside.
