About

More room, same straightforward build. Kalle L scales the modular format up to 7.6m², giving a small group genuine space without the longer installation a log built cabin of similar size would demand. Solid Spruce sections arrive pre assembled and fit together quickly on site. Heat retention stays strong despite the larger footprint. A practical route to proper group sauna use. The Spruce structure is supplied with its exterior factory-finished in painted black.

A larger sauna built for small group use brings the same core physiological benefits as any other size, heat exposure raising heart rate and improving circulation in a way that mirrors light cardiovascular exercise, but the social dimension becomes more relevant at this scale. Shared sauna use with friends or family is associated with genuine social and mood benefits beyond the physical effects of heat alone, since the relaxed, screen-free environment of a sauna session naturally encourages conversation in a way that's harder to replicate in everyday settings.

The insulated modular construction means this size sauna heats reliably and holds its temperature consistently, which matters more as group size increases since more bodies entering and leaving the heat room can otherwise affect temperature stability in an uninsulated structure. Consistent, predictable heat removes a practical friction point that might otherwise discourage regular group sessions.

For households or small groups of friends building a regular sauna habit together, frequency remains the key driver of long-term benefit. Research on habitual sauna bathers consistently shows that more frequent use correlates with stronger improvements in cardiovascular markers over time, and a sauna sized comfortably for the group that actually wants to use it together, rather than one that feels cramped with more than two or three people, makes that consistent group habit considerably easier to maintain.
Delivered flat-packed for self-assembly, with free UK mainland delivery on qualifying orders. The larger Cube format requires a little more assembly time than the smaller Icon models, so we recommend allowing a weekend and having a second person to help. A solid, level base and suitable delivery access are required.

For a complete setup, select Professional Installation and choose your preferred date, allowing for the stated production lead time. We’ll then arrange the installation around your requirements, including any additional preparation or works needed to accommodate your sauna where possible.

Electric sauna heaters require a suitable dedicated electrical supply and are not simply plug-and-play. The power requirements depend on the heater's output and the electrical supply available at the property.

Smaller heaters may be suitable for a 230V single-phase supply, while larger or more powerful heaters can require a 400V three-phase supply. Single-phase power uses one electrical phase, whereas three-phase power distributes the load across three phases and is better suited to higher-powered equipment.

The correct supply will depend on the specific heater you choose, so the heater's electrical requirements should always be checked before installation.

Sauna heaters will normally need to be hard-wired into a correctly rated dedicated circuit with the appropriate cable, isolation and electrical protection. They should not be connected using a standard household plug or extension lead.

The final electrical connection should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with the heater manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations. This is important for both safety and reliable operation of the heater.

If you're based in the Leicestershire area, we can arrange the electrical installation of your sauna heater for an additional fee. Please speak to our team if you'd like this included with your sauna.

Wood-fired sauna heaters do not require an electrical supply for heating, but they do require the correct installation of the stove, chimney, flue and surrounding heat protection.

The stove must be positioned according to the manufacturer's required safety distances from timber walls, benches and other combustible materials. Depending on the stove and sauna design, suitable heat shields or other non-combustible protection may also be required.

The floor beneath and immediately around the stove may also require suitable non-combustible protection, particularly where there is a risk of embers or hot material falling from the stove.

A suitable chimney and flue system must be installed to safely carry smoke and combustion gases outside the sauna. Where the flue passes through the roof, the correct insulated chimney components, roof flashing and heat-resistant protection should be used.

Correct ventilation is also important. A wood-fired stove requires an adequate supply of combustion air, while the sauna itself needs sufficient airflow to provide fresh air, circulate heat and allow moisture to escape.

When choosing the position of an outdoor wood-fired sauna, you should also consider where the chimney will discharge in relation to your house, neighbouring properties, windows, boundaries and outdoor seating areas.

Any applicable local requirements should be checked before installation, particularly where chimney positioning, smoke control or other restrictions may apply.

Caring for this larger modular sauna follows the same principles as the standard Kalle, simply across more surface area. After every session, prop the door open for twenty to thirty minutes to let the heat room dry out fully, the single most effective habit for preventing mould and timber staining. Wipe benches down once cooled, and sand the interior lightly once or twice a year wherever contact is heaviest, typically bench seating given the larger group sizes this model is built to handle.

The tempered glass window needs only a standard glass cleaner and soft cloth. Check door and window seals each season; factory-built insulated sections generally hold their fit better over time than self-assembled log joints, but it's still worth a periodic check, particularly after the sauna's first full year as everything settles in.

Externally, treat the spruce exterior with a wood treatment every two to three years, adjusting for how exposed the structure is to sun and rain. Given the larger footprint, budget slightly more time for this than the standard Kalle would need. Keep the base clear of debris and standing water across the full perimeter, and confirm ground preparation is still draining properly, particularly important for a larger, heavier structure than the standard size.
This sauna comes with a 5 year warranty for residential use and 2 years for commercial use, covering structural timber, glazing, and hardware. Valid claims are assessed case by case, and we'll supply replacement parts wherever possible rather than the whole sauna.
Production takes 10-12 weeks, plus 1-2 weeks dispatch time for pallet haulage. This sauna is delivered as pre-assembled wall sections rather than fully flat packed. Free UK mainland shipping applies to orders over £500 covering up to one double pallet (2.4m x 1.2m x 2.2m) or two single pallets (1.2m x 1.2m x 2.2m). If your order exceeds this due to length, weight, or quantity, additional pallet charges may apply and are quoted separately based on postcode. Please have a solid base, clear access, and suitable unloading space ready before delivery, with help on site if needed. Pallet deliveries are kerbside only, and you're responsible for moving goods onto your property.

Modular Outdoor Sauna Kalle L — Painted Black Spruce, 7.6m² — painted — angle view 1

More room, without a longer build

Modular Sauna Kalle L scales up the standard Kalle format to 7.6 square metres, giving genuine room for a small group while keeping the same pre assembled modular construction that makes installation considerably more predictable than a full panel built cabin of similar size. Solid spruce walls throughout mean the larger floor area does not come with any compromise on how well the cabin holds heat once warmed, an important consideration as size increases and there is simply more air volume to manage.

The L designation reflects a meaningful step up in scale rather than a marginal increase, with the extra space noticeable as soon as more than two people are inside and want to sit without their knees touching. Because the wall sections arrive pre built, the larger size does not translate into a proportionally longer or more complex installation, which is one of the main practical advantages of the modular approach over traditional log built construction once a cabin grows past a certain footprint.

This size suits households who know they want more than a personal sauna but do not necessarily want the scale or installation commitment of the largest log built models in the range. It is a straightforward route to a properly sized group sauna, without the multi weekend build that an equivalent log cabin would typically demand of a self assembling owner. The Spruce structure is supplied with its exterior factory-finished in painted black.
