View full details

When space is limited, but expectations are high, the Saltfire Scout delivers reliable heat without compromise. Designed as a truly compact stove, it offers outstanding performance while maintaining an exceptionally low distance to combustibles, thanks to rear and lower heat shields fitted as standard.

With a nominal heat output suited to small, well-insulated environments, the Scout is an ideal choice for modern living spaces such as boats, yurts, cabins, and new-build eco homes. It’s one of a very small number of compact stoves that is fully EcoDesign 2022 ready and can be paired with an optional external direct air box, making it particularly well suited to airtight buildings where controlled combustion air is essential.

Whether burning wood or mineral fuel, the Scout runs cleanly and efficiently. Advanced airwash technology and ultra-clean burn performance help keep the glass clearer for longer, while a single, intuitive air control makes it easy to manage the fire without constantly adjusting settings. A generous viewing window allows you to enjoy the flame while keeping an eye on heat output and burn quality.

Built with durability in mind, the Scout features a fire brick lined chamber and a robust steel construction, offering long-term reliability in demanding environments. Fully DEFRA exempt, it can be legally used in smoke control areas throughout the UK, giving you flexibility no matter where your installation is located.

Available in standard and tall versions, with top or rear flue options and a range of colour finishes, the Saltfire Scout adapts to a wide range of layouts while maintaining its compact footprint and thoughtful design.

We offer a professional stove installation service that gives you peace of mind your stove is fitted safely, correctly and in line with UK regulations. Every home is unique, and the right installation approach depends on your space, chimney setup and flue requirements, so our pricing is arranged in clear tiers rather than a single flat rate.

Our typical installation pricing is structured as follows

  • Standard installation into an existing fireplace with a suitable chimney, from £700 and including core connection and setup
  • Installation that requires a new flue liner, minor hearth adjustments or additional components, from £1,200 depending on layout and materials
  • Installation where no chimney is present and a full twin wall external flue system is required, from £1,800 with final costs influenced by height, routing and site access

All installations are carried out by qualified professionals who ensure your stove is fitted safely, performs efficiently and meets current Building Regulations. If you are unsure which tier your property may fall into, or if you would like guidance on your setup, just get in touch. We will review your space, talk through the options and provide a clear and transparent quotation before any work goes ahead.
